The substitute teacher is in charge of the classroom in the absence of the teacher. The substitute teacher is responsible for the delivery of the instructional program as well as to maintain the care, welfare, safety and security of the students in the classroom.

ENVIRONMENT: Classrooms, offices and school environments. Required outdoor travel between buildings daily, experiencing frequent interruptions and schedule changes. Required to deal with a wide range of situations, behaviors and abilities.

 

PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and on the telephone; seeing to read, prepare and proofread documents; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment; kneeling, bending at the waist and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally to retrieve and store files and supplies.

*Substitute daily rate is $165.00 per day.
